Uponor held its Annual Convention last week,
and we were happily invited to the festivities. On Friday, Executive Vice
President
Anders Tollsten told the more than
600 guests at Wynn Las Vegas that while builder optimism is at an all-time low,
the company still sees a "huge opportunity" for radiant installers. He pointed to the following markets that still show signs of life - even
growth:
- Green/sustainability
- Radiant cooling
- Radiant heating
- Home
automation/control
- Residential fire sprinklers
- Water conservation
Tollsten also assured the audience: "Even in this
gloomy market, Uponor has a vision and we are investing." The company rolled out
several new products this year - from
updated
ProPanels to
Climate
Control Multifunction units and more. Tollsten says Uponor wants to equip
its customers with the best tools to both "enrich their lives" and take on the
new market's promising opportunities.
