The
new RIDGID® SF-2500 SuperFreeze™ pipe freezing unit quickly and easily isolates
sections of copper or steel pipe with ice plugs, eliminating complete system
shut-downs and draining. It forms ice plugs in as little as five minutes in
steel pipes up to 2 inches and copper tubing up to 2 1/2 inches. One or two
plugs can be formed with a single unit at the same time.
The
RIDGID SF-2500 unit operates automatically once the freeze heads are attached to
the pipes and the unit is turned on. The unit continues to run during repairs, insuring
the ice plugs do not melt. Flexible rubber hoses connecting the freeze heads to
the unit make them easier to handle and allow for quicker coiling and storage
in its rugged stainless steel carrying case.
