Organizers of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association's Network '07 125th Annual Convention and Channel Marketplace, said a pair of financial education seminars have been added to the slate of seminars on tap for attendees.
    "PHCC contractors are always asking for more information about how to prepare and analyze their financial statements," said PHCC executive vice president D.L. "Ike" Casey.  "At Network '07, they'll be able to hear from two different experts on the subject, which we think will be a real plus."
    On Oct. 25, Kirk Alter, director of the PHCC Educational Foundation's management courses, will present "Gauges on the Dashboard: Using Your Financial Statements to Steer Your Company in the Right Direction." In this hands-on session, attendees  will learn how to perform a financial forensic analysis on their own businesses.
    Also on Oct. 25, Quality Service Contractors business coach Lawrence Snow will present, "Thou Shalt Know Your Numbers: Financials for Service & Repair Contractors." During this session, attendees will learn how to understand the basic types of reporting to include on a balance sheet and how to use a profit & loss statement to measure performance and identify problems.
